Do This And You Won't Fall Into Temptation Again
Do This And You Won't Fall Into Temptation Again

1. Resist the Devil

Christ our Lord resisted the Devil during his time on earth. He has assured us in the book of James 4:7 that if we resist the devil, he’ll flee from us.

Apart from prayers, meditation and singing; there are situations that needs your outright rejection of the enticement from Satan.

If someone offers you gift or money to commit sin (like in the case of Joseph) and/or do something that will offend God, you must as a believer reject such job offers, gifts and/or proposals without a second thought.

Rejecting the devil and his agents this way will make you a better, stronger and mountain-moving believer that will see Christ on the last day.

2. Dress Decently and Avoid Unnecessary Arguments

Idle talks and indecent dressing among young believers is another loophole the devil uses to lead them to sin. As a believer, dressing decently will help you remain chaste, faithful and always abounding in the faith.

Idle talks, unnecessary arguments, fruitless debates and noisy chats must be avoided at all cost. The Bible warns that in the multitude of words there wanteth no sin (Proverbs 10:19).

3. Shun Laziness

Idleness is one of the things that makes believers fall cheaply to temptations. The Bible frowns at it, condemns it and even admonishes every believer to do something with their hands.

When you are idle, it opens many door for the devil to bring in idle thoughts, malicious ideas and other vices that leads to temptation.

Get yourself busy doing something worthwhile and the grace of God will help you overcome every temptation that comes your way in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

4. Preach the Gospel

Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ will help you scale through temptations of any height. Be it the temptation to cheat in exams (as a student in high school, college, university or polytechnics), the temptation to sleep with the opposite sex, temptation to fight and just any other trials.

Preaching the Gospel of grace and love will make you a stronger Christian and a better one at overcoming temptations.

5. Be Weary of the Besetting Sins

The Bible admonishes us to shun evil companion, evil appearances and the sins that consistently beset us (Hebrews 12:1).

Keeping afar from persistent objects or agents of temptation can help you overcome temptations as a believer.

You don’t go clubbing, beer parlous and/or around brothels if your faith isn’t strong enough to resit the urge to fall into such sins.

Even if your faith is strong enough for it, going with one or two more believers to such places will help you achieve more without frustrating the grace of God in you.

6. Associate with other Believers

The bible made it very clear that we are in the world but not of the word, we can not run away from the physical word but must live by grace in order to overcome every temptation that comes our way.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25) is the part of the scripture you must reference to whenever the thought of Isolating yourselves from other believers comes to your mind.

We need the company of other believers to grow in faith, conquer fear and expand the kingdom of God.

7. Study the Word

As a believer, having the Holy Bible is just not enough, you need to study it diligently, with determination and sincerity of purpose.

Always remember that; they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. Even the psalmist (David) made mention of the important of the Scripture for overcoming temptation and trials when he quotes

Thy word have I hidden in my heart that I may not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11).

Christ our perfect example overcame temptation with the word of God. In every instances, he reminded the devil that “it is written”. As a believer, you need make the holy bible your best companion and refer to it whenever your are tempted by the devil.

Choosing The Right Life Person/Partner Part 3
Choosing The Right Life Person/Partner Part 3

Choosing well is the foundation for a goodmarriage. Yet choosing is one of the most neglected pieces of the process of meeting, bonding, marrying, living life together and possibly having children. Choose well: the good and bad outcomes of your choice will shape your life, whether a first or [tag-tec]second marriage, a Christian marriage, a common-law marriage, a mixed-race marriage or a same-sex marriage.
1.           Can you accept each other as you are, warts and all? You can’t change another person and you have absolutely no right to try to change your spouse. At the same time don’t promise to change if your potential partner can’t accept you as you are.
This in no way means that you have to be the same.  Acceptance of yourself and each other can accommodate wide differences between you.
Acceptance is the most basic issue. If you can’t accept the reality of each other, walk.
2.           Do you like each other? Liking is more basic than loving. Is he or she your ideal ‘best friend?’ If not, consider it a big red flag.
3.           Are your values compatible? Are you open and honest with each other about your values? For example, do you both value family? Do you both value commitment and have a common understanding of what commitment is?
4.           Are you compatible in the way you express (and discuss) your feelings? There is probably no more disastrous marriage than that between one who openly and easily talks about personal feelings and another who can’t or won’t. The mantra of the latter is “I don’t want to talk about it,” whether it is expressed in words, silence or leaving.
5.           Are you compatible in how positively you look at life? An optimistic, positive person and a pessimistic negative person could drive each other crazy. They often do.
6.           Are you compatible in your spiritual growth? This is a life-cycle issue, that is, a very long-term issue. People relate to something beyond themselves, and this spiritual inclination becomes more important over the course of life. If you are both growing spiritually over the years, you will experience more fulfillment, even if you have different religious practices.
7.           Is your mantra, “Love alone is not enough?”  Good! There are lots of men or women you could be in love with, but a tiny fraction of whom you could live with successfully. So remember this principle: don’t fall in love with someone your intuition says you couldn’t build a satisfying and fulfilling life with.

Leaving baggage's of emotion behind
Leaving your baggage's of emotion behind

Written By MFA
Segilola met Tunji on an arranged date about 4 months ago. Their mutual friends had set them up because they both seemed to have similar emotional wants and needs. Both were in their late thirties with previously failed marriages under their belts. Both had 2 kids each from their marriages and had grieved enough and were ready to mingle.
The arranged date went better than they both expected and they had no problems exchanging numbers.
Text messages flew back and forth between the pair with frequent calls just to check up on each other. Soon a relationship blossomed to the delight of their mutual friends.
On a Saturday morning, 2 months into their relationship, Tunji had cause to dash out to an unscheduled business meeting thereby leaving Segilola in his terraced house. Segilola had already started the process of cooking egusi and fish stew and it didn’t make any sense to hurry her out.
After cooking, for lack of what to do, Segilola wandered around the house and into Tunji’s closet. Opening it she discovered a female travelling bag similar to her overnight bag with some casual clothes and underwear in it. The bag didn’t look like it had been there for a while so Segilola concluded that the owner had stayed over very recently at Tunji’s house.
The realisation that Tunji might not be all she thought he was hurt her and she couldn’t help but remember how her ex-husband had cheated on her with several women. She concluded that Tunji was 2 timing and suddenly she couldn’t wait to leave Tunji’s house but she had no one to drop the keys for so wait she had to.
Tunji arrived some hours later and happily wolfed down the lunch Segilola had already laid on the table. He noticed Segilola was withdrawn but he felt it was due to being left alone for so long.
Segilola excused herself to use the restroom and while gone a text message came in “should I pick you up now” it read, from Babasola.
Tunji felt a jab and goosebumps appeared all over him for at that moment he remembered reading a similar text years back on his wife’s phone. Can Segilola be cheating he wondered.
Segilola returned from the restroom and sat opposite Tunji. The romance that had been present when they woke up that morning was long gone. In its place doubt and uncertainty reigned. Segilola made her excuses, got her packed overnight bag and left. Tunji made no move to stop her. He instead walked to the window and watched her get into a stunning white Bentley.*****
How does one cleanse their mind from the distrust, doubt and other negative symptoms of a failed relationship? How do you start afresh without bringing in the baggage from your old relationship?

How your phone tied you down to a place

It sounds awkward but have you ever thought of it? how your phone made you stay in a place for hours without gaining anything but loss of time and resources. It's becoming an addiction for so many people especially for the young men and women. It's now an addict that you are not even conscious of anymore while doing it.

Just at the early of the Afternoon lying on my bed reading, I just said let me check through our favorite social network Facebook and see if i have got new updates (I still don't know why i check that every minute  like am expecting something new rather than the usual updates from friends - comment if you know why :p) and do you know what? i ended up spending 30-40 minutes going through my news feed! But that wasn't the plan initially, just as at that something struck me and echoed "Do you realize how long you've been lying on your bed with small a mobile phone of the size of your palms tied to a spot without achieving nothing?

The whole cover of this post is pointing towards OUR TIME AND WHAT WE ESPECIALLY THE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN DO WITH IT.
We the young ones think it's a form of relaxation sitting comfortably on the couch or lying on our bed with our phones surfing through the world of internet and swimming in the pool of our mobile apps. What if am done with one of my "App on Process" that takes record of how long you spend on your favorite social networks and already shared with you, some of you would be shocked how long you spent on the INTERNET DAILY..

Time they say is Money, the Future they say is NOW: every minute that just past away was a future what could you and what did you do with it? make meaningful purpose of your time while you've still got it, many lost their jobs, failed their exams, lost concentration to do anything because of this! Remember i earlier said I was reading when i decided to check if i have got new updates and spent most time on  it i mean the time i was supposed to use to cover up what i was reading. Till date is still a shock on how a little device you bought with your own money $$$ could keep you down to a place for long without achieving nothing the whole day.

First question you should ask yourself is if what you doing with your phone and time is having a good effect to your nearest future cause whatever input you are adding now will surely result to an output. Every seconds and minutes counts for you to make a better person off your self so don't use it wrongly becoming an addict to a man-made device(mobile phone). On like me I won't bother much cause am a blogger and internet marketer and we make use of the social media a lot for the Day-day business and it will shock you that the same phone you spend hours operating or going through for nothing sake that another is using the same time and phone to make a reputable living off the internet i.e indirectly from you but you don't know!

So ending this post i would share with you guys some online stuffs you could do using the same time you lavish on your phones to earn some bucks $$$ for yourself.

Preparing your JAMB
Joint Administration And Matriculation Board (JAMB) as we all know takes place every year in Nigeria and has been one of the criteria for proceeding with Admission to any University of your choice in Nigeria , So being successful in your JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exam is really a major factor for all aspiring students who tends to further their education, but in recent studies we found out that students especially those who just finished their O'level (Secondary/High School Graduates) become so relaxed forgetting  they've still got an unfinished job to do as they get higher in their studies.  Due to that most of them find it difficult to prepare for their JAMB and wait till when the time it's ticking "RED" before they start gathering their books and end up studying in rush which ain't good.

So in this articles we would help you on some vital preparation techniques that would help you to overcome all these and how to fully prepare for your JAMB and not just Jamb but every other thing related to "EXAMS" .

Preparing For Your JAMB + Every Other EXAMS :

1) Set Out Times Of Study That You Promise Not To Break
Hey the truth is making a good decision and standing by it will surely better your life. Now as a student you have to set out rules in your study era which includes making decisions on your "STUDY TIME" and be strict in keeping it except that you would find it difficult to study regularly and keep on procrastinating which is too bad for a student. Now i'd advise you set out time at least Five(5) - Eight(8) hours {5-8hrs} a day stretch for your study without side attractions. You may be saying how can i do without side attractions.. oh yes you can if only you are determined to.
You would also be saying how can i do a stretch without lapses. It's also pretty easy if you would learn to do the "SIT AND READ CULTURE".

Now imagine your read for eight hours every day? diluting all what you've got in the syllable in to your brain, what do you think would be the result? Success! Excellence of course! This is hard work and it pays. Apply these and you won't regret it.

I don't know whats really wrong but why do students just love waiting till it's dying minutes to exams before their "Dying Passion To Read For Exam Gets Activates??" [lolx. you can drop the answer via the comment box if you know].  As we all know the plan proverb that says "FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANNING TO FAIL" yea it's as simple as that when you start on time you would surely arrive on time, that's how it works for Academics no two ways about it. You might feel you're smart enough to catch up on every thing but i bet you, you cant! the loop holes we surely be their and it will surely show in  your results.

It's too bad waiting till it's close to the exam date. Let's say your exam would commence on March 14 2015, hey you should have started reading from 3-4 months back i.e Dec - January backwards to  the date of your exam if you really need an excellent result. TRY IT!

How To Prepare For Your Exam
Students in preparation for exam

I can't be preparing for an Senior Secondary Biology exam and am reading a Junior Secondary Integrated Science text book, is that right? No. When you have exams such like JAMB you should the right materials from the right source as they have things like syllabus, recommended handouts and text books which will aid your study in preparation for the exam. When you go on with the mind set of "What they set for us in the waec, neco are as no difference from what we would see" then you've said and planned wrongly.Don't just stay there, Ask questions and know the latest, get the text books required, handouts, past questions especially as it will help you understand how their questions are been drafted out.
This will surely give you a right mindset and understanding on what you're studying for.

So are you thinking of where to have culprits? it should be on Good things, birds of the same feathers they say FLOCKS TOGETHER as  your vision brings people of your kind closer to you. Make friends with those of same interest regarding your study cause this one of the motivational ways to have a regular preparation for your exams as they would help keep the fire for study continue in you and the urge to do more. They also help grow your understanding as it is said that "Two Heads Are Better Than One" do things like bringing up technical questions, topics, and even sometimes teach among themselves. So you better go find  culprits for studying in preparation for your exam. THEY ARE GOOD I TELL YOU!

You might think this actually don't count but it dose. having a good study environment really aids your study, nothing like comfort in working. But you must learn to get adapted to the study life first cause when you are, you could easily find any place as a comfort zone to learn. Many students always had it that "they couldn't study because they didn't have a comfortable place to do that" it's an excuse and don't let that over-ride you anymore. Adapt to the study life 1st, then if opportune go look for a cool place of peace  to your self and study.
I used the line "cool place of peace to your self" because it varies I might prefer to study in a calm place and get it right while the other person prefers to study in a noised-air place and get it right and those who can also do both. All the same make sure you study at comfort zone.

One who intends doing an academic excellent work should have studied and added an additional knowledge ahead of what the previous candidates had during their time. How can you do this? It's by reviewing their past questions may be at the of each Day's study to make sure of your improvements, check-mating your self both on time management and accuracy. When you actually take on this step, kind of make it real like you're already in the exam hall.. you grab? This would help you as when the exam finally comes, you're just going to see it as one of those "CLASS WORKS" you did at the time of preparation.

lolz. Like we students do call it "EXAM FEVER" don't let that get you oh.. may be it should come after the exam. lolz. Well what causes exam tension are mostly lack of preparation or late preparation, students who prepare late often rush up everything and when they get into the exam hall they just forget everything they've rushed up! Some students may say mine is become a normal thing for me whether i study or not. Please don't let it cross through your mind, see your exam as a thing of normality and familiar cause they would surely come even in life.
The Best Solution To This: Follow all the steps above. I mean PREPARE FOR YOUR EXAM!

Relating to JAMB which has different set days for the exam and this has got some students confusing especially those who lost their re-prints that has the date of their exam set day(I'd advise you return back to the office immediately). As a student you should be informed on anything relating to your school/exam stands cause they might be changes and amendments  Do check the portals of the exam registrars, from your fellow students, offices and other reliable source of information. Some students have missed their exams because of this mistake, Don't be like them please ?
|Don't do the same mistake | Be Careful , i mean be INFORMED I MEAN BE PREPARED.

It won't be nice hearing  you after the exam saying you were not feeling to well during the exam due to the food you ate or something. Be careful of what you take, it is advised not to eat much of snacks (+ junk foods) especially in time of preparation for the exam. But take much of water cause being well hydrated helps your brain free from things like feeling dizzy e.t.c and helps it function well.

We all know it's that without God we actually ain't moving further though we think we are. For without HIM we would experience impossibilities, but with HIM every thing shall be possible. He's the author of it all, for He has a pen of a Lady Writer.
If you be a Christian then  you mostly is in need of the Holy Spirit to get there..He is the helper: Remembrance  membrane can only be found in Him. Don't take it personal please all am saying is you have to get close to your GOD for every success you need both in your academics and Life.

Thanks for taking out your time to read through the post , hope you were blessed?? I hope so too. Encourage us by DROPPING YOUR COMMENTS below: on whatever you think or need assistance on any thing, we would be glad to help in whatever way we can and do ensure to always come back for more.
